I'm Speechless

Saturday I mentioned I had some news to share. OK. Well, occasionally I do some knitting projects for a vendor I buy hand-dyed yarn from, MCY. Remember this post? And this one? I really was not enamoured of knitting with the rayon chenille. It was very soft, but it didn't like me. But, I persevered and finished the sweater vest and sent it off to be considered for their fall line showcasing some of their yarns. When last I saw it, it was hanging on a hanger before I sent it off. Last week, I knew it had been photographed to be included in the collection, but much to my surprise, Monday I learned my design got top billing on their Ebay store page. And, the cover of their website! (the text is still summer, hasn't been updated yet) Looks much better on a human, I think. I am honored, and humbled, that my design was chosen. I think some of the others are really wonderful. And no, my alpaca lace scarf is not shown, someone (who shall remain nameless) lost the package in preparing for the deconstruction of my kitchen only to have it resurface last week. I'll send that out for consideration for MCY's winter collection.

Congratulations! That is quite an honor! The vest looks lovely, on the hangar and on the model. You have every right to be proud!

Congratulations! So is your pattern available as well? I looked at the yarn...how many skeins would a vest take? I'm probably a bit smaller than the model.
