I finished knitting this on Tuesday, but I just weaved in all the ends this afternoon. This is my new great-niece Brooklynn's non-traditional baby blanket, made from wool/silk blend hand-painted yarn from MCY in the colorway "winged cupid". I've been knitting this for a while, and finally it's ready to wrap up and send on it's way. I used a checkerboard pattern alternating garter and stockinette stitch squares, with a seed stitch border. It came out really pretty, but the pictures don't do it justice. I hope this becomes something that will be passed on in the family.

Very pretty! You did a pattern very similar to what I did on a baby blanket I just finished - I just did smaller squares for the checkerboard :)
