Where does the time go?

It's already after 5pm, and the day has flown by. But where does the time go? Surely, packing up packages to mail and taking them to the post office, ascessing the condition of my gardens, doing some paperwork, updating info on Ravelry, sorting and organzing recently aquired yarn stash could not have taken 7 hours? Well...it must have, because here I am. I have been spending quite a bit of time on Ravelry, but that's a good thing. Most of the day I spent inside, because it wasn't the most wonderful day outside: quite cool with lows in the 50's and cloudy skys. The sun tried to peek out a few times but didn't want to stay. The forecast I saw last night called for "a few showers" but so far, it's stayed dry. Where does the day go? Where does the MONTH go!? Today is the last Saturday in April. Why does time go faster the older we get?
Anyway...this is the sky from around 1pm.
This next picture is especially for Mary, some early buds on my lilac, with the oak tree and sky. While I was coming back from the post office, I saw a lilac already in bloom. Mine's not there, but promises to have many flowers this year. They don't even have fragrance yet.
*edit---that's a rather odd first comment, no? LOL

Time is in my hands, and does whatever I want; Time is my slave and I decide when it is late; Time is not bored, because God is its Lord; when people spent first his life, then say "what a bad thing is the time"

Yes...and odd comment. Maybe not so odd if it wasn't anonymous. But with out a name it's kind of weird.

I'm totally with you. Time just flys. It's already been a year since the SFBE...and the first knit bloggers I met. And you're almost to another blogiversary. Is it any wonder that the hours slip our fingers...like the sand in a hourglass...and now I'm thinking of Days of Our Lives. (LOL)
