Saturday Sky, From the Beach

Something unsettling happened to me last night, which revealed just how fragile my emotions are: I am not mentally healed yet from my accident, and do not know if I ever will be. So, when I'm at my lowest, the only place for me to go, is to "my" beach. And I did that this morning. I can't take a walk on it, but I can look at the ocean and imprint those images into my mind, to help calm me. It helped, greatly. Winter walks on the beach used to be my favorite time at the shore, for solitude. So, here is my Saturday Sky, at the beach today. It was very chilly, upper 30's on the beach, low 40's at home, just 1/2 mile away.
And if you're interested, I know Mary is, here are some other ocean and beach pictures from this morning.

Now I am going to do that other thing that brings me peace, which is knitting. I hope you're all having a good weekend.
Tomorrow will bring another post of note, so do come back. That's all I'm sayin'! :-)

Oh Those pictures couldn't have come at a better time, I wish I was so there! I know that salt air would do me good! Thank you Nancy for posting these, absolutely breathtaking, this is one Jersey girl who will always be a Jersey girl and I do miss it!
I do hope these helped your unsettling feeling. Take care & hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

love the pictures, we go to Ocean beach every summer but I can't get out on the beach because of mobility issues, but it brings me peace to be there

Hope your weekend gives you a more composed spirit!!

I'm sorry that the accident is still creeping up on you like that. I know I have PTSD from my heart problems a few years ago... sometimes I wake up and I can't breathe because I still feel pain and fear. Long story... but please know you're not alone.

The pics are beautiful - I'm glad you have a special place to go to when you need...

Beautiful shots! I can see why that's your place of refuge...

Beautiful, beautiful beach! I feel pulled to the beach constantly (I live in landlocked WV) (in the mountains, no less). It's elemental. My husband and I will retire somewhere in south Florida so I can finally be at peace. Only 6 more years. That's my mantra!

Beautiful pictures, lovely beach. If I walked down it, there would be three prints: from my two feet and from the tip of my cane from my accident eight years ago, my car smashed by a speeder. Life does get better.

I love the shore, especially in the winter when you have the beach somewhat to yourself. We lived in Fair Haven for 25 years and moved to Utah 2 years ago. I do miss my ocean!
