Maybe because he's 9 now I know he won't have many years left with me, but each time I read something like this i get throat lumps. Reggae...don't ever go. I'm not ready to knit a kitty! Keep bringing me mice from the basement. I don't care if you are mean and nasty to everyone in my life except me. I don't care what time you wake me up. Really. Just keep waking me up. I promise I will cast on your Kitty Pi bed this weekend. I'll put my Sidekick on the back burner. I love you, Reggae-Boo.

I sure understand the heart ache of losing a beloved pet. I just lost my cat Scooter on Tuesday. She was with us for 11 years. Cherish them while you can.
perfect. maybe i'll knit crystal a cat. (thanks.)
Yes, I truly understand how you feel. My Max is 9---10 in October. I try not to let myself "go there" as much now, but while he was sick last spring, I was a real mess!
I feel blessed each day with him and our new puppy.
:)
I know those feelings all too well. My cat is 18 and every day is a blessing... most days. ;^)
Enjoy him while you have him and try to remember that you do have time. He's still a baby yet.
Well you made me think about this, I lost many a pets over the years and they still get me everytime..Electra will be 13 in Sept..guess she is getting old. I'm with you Nancy..wake me up, meow me to death for treats, anything, just don't go!
My heart goes out to all of you who have recently lost a beloved 4 legged kid! I know its not easy.
I choke up if I even think of life without my cat... he is 11 so I know that at some point it's gonna happen - especially since he's sick and needs daily meds.
I hope he lives forever too!
