My Spring Fling Coffee Swap Package!

For the Spring Fling Coffee and Yarn Exchange, Amanda was assigned me as her partner. And she did a really good job of keeping her identity to me a secret almost right up until the very end. We read and post comments to each other's blogs, so keeping it a mystery was not all that easy, I am sure. She gave me a hint on Sunday in an email when she told me my package was on the way, but only "you know me". huh? I know lots of people out here in blogland, LOL. I happened to read her blog that evening and put 2+2 together and hoped, but wasn't sure, that she was my secret spoiler. When I brought in the mail on Thursday, I had a few packages, and one in particular made me smile and say hmmmm...I know I didn't order any yarn from Amanda! From the weight of the package, I knew then that she indeed WAS my spoiler.
And spoiled I was. I opened the package to see this:

The aroma from the coffee was there as soon as I opened the box. Inside my box were all these treasures:
She incorporated a "coffee at the beach" theme for me. The coffee I smelled is from my favorite roaster in Key West, Baby's Coffee. Amanda had a friend in KW see it in a store there, Fausto's, (a store in KW I know well, which is why I included the bag in my photo.) and had her pick some up for me. It is Baby's Breakfast Roast. Amanda apologized for it not being my favorite flavor, as they had none in stock. Little did she know that when I order online from Baby's , I order this one as well. The coffee has already been savoured this weekend, in the "caffe mocha" design mug she sent along.
My yarn, is "white caps" in dk, that I love from Amanda's own dye pot...I have it's twin sister, so she sent this one to be it's mate. Again, little did she know that I tried to purchase both from her Etsy shop, and I've mentioned before, Etsy doesn't make it easy to let you know you didn't update if you want more than 1 item, so I only ended up purchasing one. So, now i have both and can make something wonderful. I also received some S&C cotton in "daisy" colors (my favorite flower!) which looks like it wants to be a ball band cloth. There were some chocolates, which have somehow disappeared ;-) 2 note pads , one with a lighthouse, and one with coffee. The round cloth with the scrubby attached is really cute, and I needed a new scrubby for my non-stick pans. The other round will be used as a coaster or trivet. The whole package was wonderful and so thoughtful, but I have to mention the item that I was most tickled to receive...those #3 bamboo knitting needles! I''d been looking for them in a short length, but haven't been able to find. I have been using some vintage metal #3's and find my yarn slipping right off with them. Now I can continue my lace ribbon scarf with much less angst! Thank you, Amanda, for a fantastic package. I love it all.

What a wonderful swap. Especially the special coffee order. I love daisies too. I just picked my first few shastas from my yard. I'll try to take a picture for Friday Flowers.

I just tagged you...check my blog. I hope today is a good one for you.
