I was sorting out a basket of knitting stuff last weekend, and came across a UFO tucked in the bottom. I had started knitting this last fall, it was to be a Hanukkah/Christmas gift for my boss/friend Tamar. For whatever reason, I put it away, probably too many other projects, and knew I'd never finish in time. Out of sight, out of mind, I forgot about it. When it turned up, I figured, well, her birthday is the 18th of this month, I finish it for that. I'd knitted this pattern twice before, this is the 2nd time I used Plymouth Linen Isle. I like the way the colors of the yarn show up in the knitted fabric. Now that it's finished, I think the shoulder straps should have been a little longer, but I did go with the measurements of my modifications to the pattern, so we'll see. She's tiny, except for "the girls." ;-) Hopefully it will fit. I've got some Linen Isle in my stash which I purchased to make this pattern for me. I wonder if I ever will?
There's a contest over at Cass' blog to celebrate #555. She's got some great prizes for the winners, but the blog is a very good read. If you haven't, go over and enter, you have until May 7.

Very pretty top! What color is this one?
Lucky boss!! And if the straps are too short, that should be an easy fix.
That looks fantastic! Love the tweed look.
I swear, I believe we have the same knit-brain. I picked up one skein of the Linen Isle to try out, thinking it would make a lovely tank...
What a pretty top. Love the cable and neckline
