Abstract Math in the Garden

How does some (sum) of:

minus:

equal:

this????

I will show you. It's all in the formula for my "pots 'o happy":

A little creativity, a lot of hard work, some garden art, and voila! My late spring container garden. There were some minor casualties this year, however. (besides my lightly sore muscles). I mentioned the garden sprayer, that was shot, as was a hose. The little verdigris plant stand in the picture to the right had a glass top, but it fell through the center and smashed to smithereens on the deck while I was planting a container on it: the green one on the railing. Luckily, that heavy stoneware container didn't break too. I have to take the measurement and get the glass replaced, that table is a fixture I love.
Although I can use a few more items to fill some other pots, I am more pleased with my 1st planting this year than I was last year. Hopefully, these will thrive and grow all summer long. I made sure to get a few lavender plants to dry come fall to store in with the yarn to prevent those dang wool eaters. Besides, they smell lovely when brushed against.

Looks like you spent your (finally!) sunny Saturday well. Wasn't it a glorious day? And now, today, thunder, lighting and rain. I'm glad we went to flea markets and had a day out. Today was just fine for doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom!
