Reggae Update

My Reggae boy has been home from the hospital a full week. And I am pleased to report that he's doing really well. He's been asking for food, eating, and keeping it down, and being, well, Reggae. He's more active than he's been in weeks, and is right now is standing on my dresser in my bedroom looking out the window watching a stray cat across the street. To him, that's unacceptable. LOL. I will give him the last dose of antibiotics tonight, and continue to monitor him for any recurrence of symptoms, but I think we're out of the danger zone. I hope I am not premature in thinking he's better, but from where we were a week ago, this is a world of difference. I am so thankful I was able to share some good news about Reggae today. But, please go visit my friend Amanda and leave her some kind words; she had to make the difficult decision to help their beloved kitty pass on. If only our fur kids could live forever...

I'm glad Reggae is home and back to his "normal" self. I somehow expect my fur kids to live as long as my flesh and blood kids and it breaks my heart every time I am reminded they don't. Does that stop me from falling in love all over again? Nope.

Uh-oh!! Bad friend alert... I had to read about it here. I obviously wasn't asking the right questions with NHKM!

Thanks for the update on Reggae and NHKM.

Great news about Reggae! It's a good thing he is back home to protect your house from those pesky stray cats!

So glad Reggae is doing much better, I'm sure (like me) you wish our little "fur-babies" could tell us what's wrong before things go too far.

Hi, Nancy... thanks for your message and the kind words people have left me on my blog. I know it was the right thing to do, I just miss him so much!

I am SO HAPPY that your Reggae is doing well!

Reggae, you rock! I had a cat that liked to eat spiders. (Like potato chips - not much nutrition, but lots of flavor and crunch.) He took sick one spring in a similarly mysterious fashion and the vet thought he might have gotten a black widow spider. The cat recovered and continued herding and eating spiders. Everyone needs a hobby.

I'm just catching up with blogs and so I'm hoping this weekend finds Reggae back to his old self!
