Saturday Sky Matched My Mood This Week

It's chilly...in the 40's and today's sky was mostly grey and gloomy, not unlike my mood this week. Things going on at work are testing my fortitude. I've been having trouble sleeping. I rarely have trouble falling asleep and it's not unusual for me to wake a few times, but I always fall back to sleep. Not so this week...I couldn't fall asleep, and if I did for short time I'd wake up and have trouble again. Needless to say, I'd been awful tired all week. I was interested to know if I'd sleep well last night, with the anticipation of no work this weekend. I fell asleep around 12:30, and didn't wake again until around 6, and then again at 8. Apparently, it is work that's triggering my sleep disorder this week. Rather than get up, I stayed in bed until 11 just dozing and dreaming...just because I needed it. I know I should leave work at work, but I don't have that kind of job. What I left Friday will still be there on Monday. But for now, my mood is no longer like today's sky. Nothing that a Saturday couldn't fix, I'm much better.

I'm sorry you're having work stress. I certainly know what you are feeling right now. The only advice I can offer is to try to work on each project a little each day, and at least you'll make some progress each day.

"One day at a time"... make this "one piece of paper at a time"...

Hope your Sunday helps as much as your Saturday. If you can take a cozy nap this afternoon. You are in my thoughts and hope that your week is good one.

I am sorry that work is so upsetting. I can relate to not wanting to get up for work. I have been working pretty steady since my 16th birthday and I have had enough! But with two kids in college still and one just out of graduate school that won't happen soon. Poor hubby works so hard too. People can make a good job a real bad one quick. I hope your week goes better than last...will be sending good thoughts your way. Your knitting goodies look terrific. I am waiting for a book I ordered that shows you how to knit both socks on circulars at the same time. I can't wait.

Oh hun, I know JUST how you're feeling - I can't leave it there either. I hope your Sunday was far better than your Saturday.

I wish I had better advice, but you're talking to a girl who got home at midnight and ten thirty on two nights last week, and came home so exhausted the others from lack of sleep due to insomnia issues that I would fall asleep when I did get home at a reasonable hour.

I'll keep you in my prayers - hopefully you get both Thursday AND Friday off!

Our Saturday sky looked like that too. Come to think of it, so did Sunday, Monday and now Tuesday. Sigh, where did the sun go? Work is stressful here as well. I work in mental health and as the holidays approach, everyone gets "testy" and it's a challenge to keep everyone on an even keel.
