Happy 1st Day of Autumn!It really is a beautiful day here. Clear blue skies, a warm 77 degrees at 2pm with a slight breeze. At least one of the weekend day forecasts were correct.
I was out with Reggae a little bit ago but the neighbor's cat was out loose in the neighborhood and Reggae doesn't approve. So, before he noticed her I scooted him inside. I'm sure he doesn't understand why I'm keeping him inside, but it's better this way.
While I was out, I noticed something I've only seen once before, my sweet potato vine "Blackie" bloomed! When I saw it happen a few years ago I thought it was so cool. The nursery told me that means the sweet potatoes were ready to pick. LOL, not mine, I don't think so. But...this is the pretty blossom she offered.

hmmm... i'm a pretty bad gardener, but i had no idea that potato vines could bloom. very pretty.
They say you learn something new eeryday...me too with potatoe vines blooming :) Didn't know they did. Its beautiful!
we've been 80's here last couple days, but I'm sure it won't last long..though sure wish it would cool off more.

I will tell you that my vines bloom and when I clean out the pots I have very good sweet potatoes that we have eaten. I am looking forward to my "crop" this year too! Happy Fall to you also.
