Color Choices..

This is Day #4 of the Mid-August KAL from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MonthlyDishcloths/?yguid=1675719 When I thought about the colors before the KAL started, I had a few in mind. I went with S&C "Hot Pink" solid and "Playtime Recreation" ombre, which is hot pink, bright orange and yellow, with almost a peach tone as the color dyes change. As I knitted Day #1, I was second guessing my choice as the hot pink was predominant, the variegated was barely visible. I thought about starting over , but waited for Day #2. On Row #2 of Day #2...I messed up a slipped stitch and couldn't tink back, so I frogged the whole thing and started over. I was *this* close to changing colors, but I decided to continue with the original plan. Now that I've knitted Day #4, I can see the distinction of the colors much better. :-) I like this pattern; I'm looking forward to finishing. I think it might be a good 'inbetween' block for the tropical/beach themed afghan I am working on, as it includes some of the colors. I think I will make more.

I like the colors! When you started with the ombre, you were on a pink section. Now you can really see your colors. I had to change mine!

Well, that looks very pretty! I'm using Hot Green and Summer Splash SnC and while there's not a whole lot of contrast, I also like the way mine is coming out. On to Day 5! :)

Very nice! I'm using blue for my solid and a variegated light blue/green/yellow. I'm liking it, so far, and can't wait to see it (and everyone else's) when finished. Thanks for sharing!
